MEDICINAL PLANTS AND THEIR TRADITIONAL USES AMONG THE LOCAL COMMUNITIES OF DISTRICT ALMORA (UTTARAKHAND)

Abstract:

The present study was carried out to document the diversity of medicinal plants and their traditional uses in health care system of local communities of district Almora. Present study reveals that 30 species of medicinal plants belonging to 25 families are being used by the local communities to cure the various human ailments like as- asthma, vomiting cough and cold, fever, urinary disorders, diarrhoea and dysentery etc.
